Dear Parent / Guardian,
Year 10 Parents Meeting
There will be a meeting for the parents of Year 10 pupils on Thursday 3 March between 4.00pm and 6.00pm. This is an important meeting at a vital stage in each pupil’s career, and you are warmly invited to attend. This meeting will provide an opportunity for you to discuss with teachers the progress of your son/daughter.
All pupils in Year 10 have been issued with forms on which they will indicate their choice of subjects for the next two years. We have asked them to discuss the matter with you so that you will know of any problems before you attend the meeting. It would be helpful if you would bring the form with you. Careers staff will be on hand at the meeting to answer questions about the subject’s required to follow various careers.
To ensure that the maximum number of interviews may be held it would be helpful if each interview were limited to 5 minutes. If however, there is a serious issue or concern which requires a longer discussion, please make an appointment to see the appropriate member of staff at another time when the matter may be discussed fully.
We would ask that you attend this meeting without your son or daughter on this occasion. They will be provided with a document detailing their teachers which they will share with you in advance of the 3 March. Please note that we are unable to provide supervision for pupils on this evening and would ask that you bear this in mind when making arrangements to attend.
The car park at the Comber Road side of school is available for parking. Please use the main school entrance on arrival.
We look forward to meeting with you on Thursday 3 March.
