Dear Parent/ Guardian,
Today has been another exciting day in Regent House!
I am pleased to advise that our GCSE results have dramatically improved again. Including GCSE, AS and A Level outcomes I can confidently state that our pupils have achieved the best set of results in at least the last 13 years.
The headline figure for students achieving at least 7 grades at A*-C (including Maths and English) has increased to 96%.
Our students have also performed much better at the higher grades as detailed in the table below. As an example: 59% of all grades this year were either A or A* compared to 50.5% last year.
This prize day we will be delighted to be presenting awards to 77 students who have achieved at least 8 A grades. This compares with 67 in 2015 and 39 in 2014.
I would like to congratulate all the students on their fantastic results and wish them well as they begin their chosen A Level courses. I would also like to thank you, the parents and guardians, for the support you provide to your children and the school. Without it these outcomes would not be possible.
I am sure you will join me in congratulating and thanking the teaching staff here in Regent. Their dedication, hard work and exceptional talent guides the way. They, along with their non-teaching colleagues, are our most important and valuable resource.
