100th Day of School

To celebrate the 100th Day of School, our class split into three groups and each group had a different activity to complete. One group had to write out one hundred plural words, as we have been learning how to form plurals using a number of different rules. The second group had to name one hundred body parts and the third group wrote down one hundred things we have learnt in Prep 6.

European Languages Day - September 2015

On European Languages Day, we came to school dressed in the colours of Ireland and brought in traditional Irish food, such as pancakes, barmbrack, potato bread, soda falls, wheaten bread and tayto crisps. We had great fun serving the other classes food from our stall and of course eating and enjoying some of it ourselves!

Viking Exhibition - North Down Museum

We travelled by bus to North Down Museum on 1 October 2015 to learn about life in Viking times. We really enjoyed our trip, especially listening to Frodo telling us about how Vikings used to live, looking around the longhouse, dressing up and making Viking brooches.

Life Exhibition September 2015

We were invited to attend the Life Exhibition, organised by Scrabo Hall in Newtownards, on Monday 28 September 2015. The life and teachings of Jesus were presented in an attractive and modern way. We got to put on headphones and use tablets. We watched short DVD clips and Glenn did a quiz with us. It was a really interactive time and the leaders were very kind and helpful. We got some juice before walking back to school.
