We're joining up with The Newtownards Foodbank - collecting donations of food in order to create hampers. These hampers will be delivered to members of our local community who can’t afford to provide meals for their families themselves. Unfortunately, the number of people living below the poverty line in our own area is increasing. It is particularly difficult for these families at Christmas; a time when we most enjoy eating and celebrating together.

If you are able to donate any of the following items, they will be put to great use in the Christmas hampers going out to families in Newtownards this December:

Sponge pudding (tinned)/Christmas pudding
Boxes of biscuits
Sugar
Diluted juice
Tea bags/Instant coffee
Tinned fruit
Smash/Instant mash potato

You are very welcome to donate items from the regular Foodbank list also:

Milk (UHT or powdered)
Soup (tinned)
Pasta sauces
Rice/pasta
Tomatoes/Vegetables (tinned)
Tinned meat/fish
Cereals
Rice pudding (tinned)
Jam

Please deliver any donations to B14 during the week beginning Monday 16th November. The fundraising committee and members of the Scripture Union will deliver the donations and help to pack the hampers at the warehouse at Thriving Life Church on Thursday 19th November.

Thank you in advance for your generosity. Your donations will be used wisely to reach the most in need.
