Overview

Our aim as a girls’ hockey club, at all ages, is to develop team play, to improve individual skills and tactics. Through the playing of hockey we strive to encourage a sense of belonging and enjoyment through gaining friendships in a sporting environment.

Girls Hockey at Regent House has always been competitive and has a long history in competing at all levels within Ulster Hockey.

Senior hockey is available to all interested players from year 11-14 and junior hockey for years 8-10.  With well over 130 girls training, usually twice a week, from September to March we are able to field 8 teams (+ year 8 teams starting November to make 11) regularly on a Saturday morning and compete in all cup and plate competitions offered.

Having an astro-turf facility on site at school will allow for further development of skills and tactics throughout the school day.
