The Pastoral Care programme in the College supports the academic, social and personal well-being of all our pupils. The videos below have been developed by our child protection partners across the UK and provide information on the main threats to children today
Child Protection and Online Protection
The NCA's CEOP Command (formerly the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. We protect children from harm online and offline, directly through NCA led operations and in partnership with local and international agencies.
Exploited is an 18-minute film which helps young people learn to stay safe from sexual exploitation. It educates young people to identify features of an exploitative friendship or relationship in contrast with the development of a healthy relationship, and gives them clear information about how to report abuse and access support.
This is an assembly from CEOPs Thinkuknow education programme that enables young people to recognise what constitutes personal information. The assembly facilitates young peoples understanding that they need to be just as protective of their personal information online, as they are in the real world.
An education initiative from the UK's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre. Visit www.thinkuknow.co.uk for information on how to have fun online, stay in control and report any problems.
'Exposed'. This 10 minute drama has been designed for 14 to 18 year olds. 'Exposed' deals with the subjects of sexting and cyberbullying, issues that teenagers commonly face.
It is vital that parents and carers understand how children and young people can be groomed online and what they can do to protect their child in the spaces they inhabit. CEOP's child protection experts explain more about the topic and offer advice and guidance.
Sports Activities
This video shows several children involved in different sports describing how the behaviour of parents and spectators deteriorates when they wear their ‘magic sports kit’ – that is, when they compete.
The young people talk about a range of bad adult behaviours and how these negatively affect them. They then describe and promote positive behaviour.

Labels can be harmful to kids. Every label sends a message that tells children how to think about themselves. Too often, these labels can be hurtful, and both positive and negative labels can cause problems. Learn more at http://www.stopbullying.gov.
