Holly wins in Interschools Equestrian League
The TRI Equestrian NI, Interschools League, held at the Meadows Equestrian Centre, concluded on Saturday 14th January with a win for Regent House Pupil, Holly Boal in the Open (1m) individual Class.
Holly, riding her beautiful bay horse Bonmahon Flash, triumphed over 94 other combinations of Horses and riders from School across the Province. This competition was the culmination of a 5 month league. Although Holly had perfomed consistently well, throughout the previous rounds, placing her in a strong position going into the final, the result was far from a foregone conclusion and it made for a very exciting competition between the top 3 .
This win is all the sweeter for Holly and Bonmahon Flash (Aero) as they are a relatively new combination and he is a young horse competing against much more experience smaller ponies who can make super quick turns in the speed rounds. As Northern Irish Champion at Open Level, Holly has now qualified for the All Irish Interschools Championship later in the Spring.
