Schools’ Cup Semi-Final Bound: A Strong Week for Regent Cricket

Regent House is proud to announce that both our 1st XI and U15 cricket teams have progressed to the semi-finals of their respective Schools’ Cup competitions following impressive quarter-final victories.

The 1st XI delivered a dominant performance against Belfast Royal Academy, bowling them out for just 22 runs in 10.2 overs. Josh Parker led the attack with 4 wickets for 5 runs, supported by Jaxon Dines who took 4 for 15. Regent chased down the target in just 3.3 overs, finishing on 23-1, with Josh Parker unbeaten on 18. The team now prepares to face Sullivan Upper in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, the U15s overcame Lisneal College, who posted 142-5 from their 20 overs. D. Boban (2-35), H. Heron (1-16), C. Scates (1-22), and J. Dines (1-27) all contributed with the ball. In reply, Regent reached 143-2 in 17.4 overs, with Jack Heron finishing not out and Josh Parker adding a valuable 32. The U15s will now host Strabane Academy in their semi-final.

Both teams have shown great skill and determination, and we wish them the very best as they continue their cup campaigns.
