Swimming Success!
The Swim Ulster Primary Schools’ Cup and Championships were held on Saturday 29th November 2025. Eight of our Year 8 swimmers performed very well against the best swimmers in Ulster.
Kendall Smyth finished in 6th place in the 50m Backstroke and in 10th place in the 50m Freestyle. Iona Chanas finished in 5th place in the 100m Individual Medley and 4th place in the 50m Freestyle, narrowly missing a medal. Ben Spence finished in 3rd place in 50m Butterfly, winning a bronze medal.
As a result of their individual performances Kendall, Iona and Ben all qualified for the Irish Minor Schools’ Championships which will be held in Dublin at the end of March.
The Girls Relay Team of Kendall Smyth, Maisie McAnlis, Eloise Stephenson and Iona Chanas finished 5th in the Medley Team Relay and 4th in the Freestyle Relay. The Boys Relay Team of Evan Spence, Oliver Colville, Ollie Youle and Ben Spence finished in 2nd place in the Freestyle Relay, winning silver medals.
