Mini Girls

Rene Rankin was the only athlete who qualified for an individual event, she placed 7th in the Long Jump with a best attempt of 3.88. The Mini Girls relay team, consisting of Sofia Nixon, Rene Rankin, Inda Elizabeth Cox and Isla Bailie, finished 3rd place in the 4x100m final in a time of 55.92

Mini Boys

Alex Kelly ran a personal best performance in the 800m of 2.22.30 to finish a close 4th, his time is a new Year 8 School Record.  Lukas Kennedy finished 2nd in the Long Jump on countback with a best jump of 4.47. Adam Turkington was 10th in the shot.

Minor Girls

Rachel Gabbey finished 6th in her 100m heat in a time of 14.11, she joined the 4x100m relay team to place an extremely close 3rd in the final and just missed Irish qualification.  The relay team; Sophia Regan, Tilly Hunniford, Rachel Gabbey and Neila Remeikaite ran 54.16 in the final.

Minor Boys

James Troughton was the only individual performer at Ulster Schools’, he was competing in the shot and finished 13th with a best throw of 9.25. The relay team of 5 finished 5th in the final with a best time of 51.42, the boys are Micah Bailie, Adam Ely, Ross Armstrong, Bailey Ross and Ethan Brown.

Junior Girls- 1st Overall Team Junior Girls

The Junior Girls had an outstanding Championship. Sara Devany broke the Ulster Record in the 75m Hurdles heat in a time of 11.42 and finished 1st in the final, she also won the Triple Jump in a best jump of 10.30. Brooke Melville came 2nd in the Triple Jump with a best jump of 9.78 and was 5th in the Long Jump with 4.65. Lara Greene came 3rd in the High Jump with a best clearance of 1.49. Katie Johnston came 3rd in the 100m and 2nd in the 200m in a new personal best performance of 26.89. Erin Coard came 4th in the shot  with a best throw of 9.09 and top 6 in the hammer, with a new best throw of 25.65 followed by Zoe Boyd, 22.23. The 4x100m relay team of Erin, Lara, Katie and Sara finished 1st in the final, 51.81.

Junior Boys

Robert Matear finished 3rd in the 80m Hurdles in a new personal best time of 13.05 and he also finished a close 4th in the High Jump with another best jump of 1.67. Joshua Wilson placed an excellent 5th with a best throw of 26.73 in the Javelin, in his first year at competing in this event.

Inter Girls- 1st Overall Team- Inter Girls

Isla Henry continued to show her form in the IG sprints, claiming both sprint titles, winning the 100m final in 12.81 and equalling her personal best in the 200m in a time of 26.22. Viktorija Lasinyte finished 6th in the 300m final in a personal best time of 45.34, showing her potential in this new event. Gabby Scates continued to excel in the hurdles, taking the title in the 300m Hurdles in 47.61 and 2nd in the 80m Hurdles, following a stumble out of the blocks in 12.14. Eva Patton finished 7th in the 100m in a time of 13.54 and 5th in the 80m Hurdles in 13.05 and Daisy Forbes was 3rd in the 300m Hurdles in a time of 50.99. Both Daisy and Eva joined Isla and Gabby to win the 4x100m relay in 50.48. In the field events, Grace Gibson was 7th in the High Jump with a best clearance of 1.45 and Charlotte Glenn achieved a personal best throw of 30.27 to finish 6th in the javelin. Katie Murray was a close 4th in the hammer with a best throw of 24.57.

Inter Boys- 1st Overall Team- Inter Boys

Finn McClean took the 100m Hurdle title in a time of 14.41 and was 4th in the 100m final in 11.52.  Ewan Donald ran a personal best performance of 22.85 to claim 3rd place in the 200m. Harrison Jamison claimed his first individual title in the 400m in a personal best performance and new Ulster Record of 49.60. Stephen Kelly ran a personal best in the 400m Hurdles to win the silver medal, in a time of 59.73, he also finished 4th in the 100m Hurdles in 16.20. Stephen Kelly, Harrison Jamison, Treshon James and Finn McClean claimed the 4x100m title in a time of 45.11.

In the middle distances, Rory Magee was 10th in the 800m in a time of 2.08.68. Patrick Kerr and Luca Murray finished 6th and 8th in the 1500m Steeplechase. In the field events, Harry Palmer narrowly missed Irish qualification by one centimetre to finish 4th in the discus in a best throw of 33.74. Calum Megarity and Owen Black finished 6th and 7th in the hammer.

Senior Girls- 1st Overall Team- Senior Girls

Clara McKay continued to show excellent form in the 100m Hurdles, finishing 2nd in the 100m Hurdles in a new personal best of 16.33, she also finished 3rd in the triple jump with a best jump of 10.25. Zara Steele finished 5th in the long jump with a best jump of 4.39 and 5th in the triple jump with 9.93. Lottie Wilson was 8th in the long jump with a best jump of 4.19. Lauren Taylor claimed the title in the SG 1500m Steeplechase and Lucy Kay was second. Lucy also medalled in the 400m Hurdles, finishing 3rd in a time of 1.23.10. Shola Iluyemi came 5th place in the hammer with a new best throw of 21.74.

For the second year in a row, Regent have won the Trophy for the Top Girls School in overall points!

Senior Boys

Matthew Callaghan finished 5th in his heat of the 100m in a new personal best of 12.12. Euan Monro finished 3rd place in the 400m Hurdles in 58.16, with another promising run in this new event. Mason McCreery was 4th in the 800m in a time of 2.01.19. Finlay Mayne battled the heat in the 2000m steeplechase to finish 5th in 7.38.74. Harry Jackson struggled to find his form in the jumps, unfortunately struggling to hit the board, resulting in a 6th in the triple jump and 7th in the long jump. Harry was joined by Kris Burgess, Matthew Callaghan and Euan Monro in the 4x100m relay and the boys claimed silver and a qualification to Irish Schools!

The Boys finished 2nd overall Boys School on points!
